How far in advance do I need to book with you?

It’s never too early! We recommend booking your appointment with us as soon as possible; we schedule about one year in advance. Please note, the sooner you book with us the more likely it is that we will have your date available. We will secure your date as soon as a deposit is received. Deposit/Retainers are nonrefundable, no exceptions.

How much does it cost to hire a professional makeup artist?

The fees for our services depends on several different things, but our pricing is very competitive. We would love to help you and be of assistance, but first, we need to hear more about your specific needs. Once received, we will contact you with a quote. Provide as much detail as possible (location, the time you need to be ready by, services needed, etc).

Do you have a minimum booking requirement?

It depends on your location and date of service. For long distance bookings outside of the Toledo, OH area, there is a minimum of 4 people for weddings. However, we do our best to accommodate you and your wedding party to meet your needs. Please contact us for more information and we will be happy to assist you. 

Do you travel to me on-location for my booking?

Yes, of course! Cori and her team's services include travel to your specified location anytime and any place. We are happy to do so! Please inquire about travel fees outside of the Toledo metro area by putting in a request for a quote, or you may call us directly.

Do you provide hair services in addition to makeup?

Our focus is primarily on makeup, but we can provide hair services with proper notice. Unfortunately, for last minute bookings, we cannot guarantee we will have a hair stylist available. We are always happy to make recommendations for you if we are unable to meet your hair needs. 

Is there a limit on how many people I can book for?

Cori can accommodate makeup bookings for up to five people. For more than five people (max is 10), an additional artist will be needed. For last minute bookings we cannot guarantee availability for more than five guests. Advanced reservations are suggested for larger parties.  

How much time do the services take on my wedding day?

Please let me know what time you need to be ready for upon booking. Makeup & Hair for the bride takes approximately 1-1/2 hours and 20 – 45 minutes per each service for each member of your bridal party. Makeup varies depending on how dramatic the look is. Hair depends on the length and density of the client’s hair and the style desired. The bride’s makeup and hair are performed second to last so you’re fresh, but there’s no rush. I may bring an assistant to help out on the day and assist with ensuring your party is ready on time, but rest assured that I will always be doing the bride’s makeup and any artist that I bring will have a similar style to mine. Once you provide the departure time, we do all the scheduling for you.

How do I secure you for my wedding date?

To book Cori's services, she requires a non-refundable deposit of $150.00 and a signed e-contract to hold your date. Once confirmed, you can book your pre-wedding or event trial at your leisure.Please note that inquiring about a specific date does not guarantee you that date. The deposit will apply to the scheduled booking balance. 


We accept cash/check/credit card or PayPal. If you are writing a check for the deposit, please make it out to Cori Rist. If a check is returned from the bank for insufficient funds a charge of $30.00 fee plus amount owed will be added to your final bill.To be fair, we book on a first come/first serve basis. If you have already submitted your contract, and you have a confirmation email, please proceed to the "pay now" button.

After my makeup is applied, are you available for touch-ups?

While we do offer touch-up services for an additional fee, they are not needed. Airbrush makeup will last for 8+ hours, and hairstyles are designed to hold for the entire evening. My clients and brides are always pleased with their booking day to receive their complimentary touch-up kit that includes items to keep you looking fresh all day. It is also recommended that you place an order for your chosen lipstick selected during your trial session.Your eye makeup will remain intact as waterproof products, and an eyeshadow primer is used. Given that I have an extensive background in makeup for photography, I use products that will stay put with minimal touch-ups, and that will look beautiful on camera. 

When should I book my pre-trial & is it required?

The best time to book you pre-trial is approximately 1-6 months before your event or wedding. All trials take place at Cori's studio in Perrysburg, OH, or they may be arranged on-location for a small additionall fee. During the months of May through October, we ask that you book your trials during the week days only (Mon-Thurs).   

Trial sessions are recommended before any big event but are not mandatory.  

May I do a pre-trial before I commit & what are the fees?

Absolutely! We want you to be 100% sure and happy with your decision. Please keep in mind that Cori cannot hold a date without a required, non-refundable 50% deposit and signed contract. For pre-trial makeup pricing or questions, please request a quote or reach out to us via phone or email. We will be happy to assist you. All pre-trials done on-location will have an additional small travel fee included in the pricing. We offer services in throughout Toledo, Columbus, Detroit, and beyond.

How do I prepare for my pre-trial & how long does it last?

We recommend a light face and body exfoliation the night before with a damp terry cloth towel or brush, gently buffing away any dead skin.It’s imperative you come to your appointment with a freshly washed face and clean hair. You may moisturize your skin after washing. Please bring pictures of the makeup/hair looks that are appealing to you. You may also include photos of your dress, headpiece, and colors.

Do you charge a fee for an early or late call time?

A $100 per hour ($50 per 1/2 hour) fee will be added to the final balance for appointments scheduled before 8:00 am or after 6:00 pm. 

Is the gratuity included in your fees?

Tips or gratuity are not included in the appointment fee. However, our artists are grateful for any tips same-day or pre-paid.


NOTE: A 20% gratuity will be added to the final bill.

What if I am late to my appointment?

Beauty by Cori Rist has a 15-minute grace period that requires our artist to wait at your requested location. However, your appointment may be cut short, and a full service will be charged if our artist has another scheduled appointment after yours.

Payment options for my final payment due for services?

The final payment is due one week before your wedding. The balance in full can be paid by cash, bank check, credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.  Brides often collect payments due from their bridesmaids/ family members a few weeks before the big day. Or they may elect to have their guests pay directly to us via one of our payment options. On the day of your private booking, you can just focus on being pampered with services and having a fun, stress-free experience. Add-on services may be done on the fly and paid via cash or credit card. You can pay one large/group payment -or- individually. 

What if I need to cancel or change my booking?

Due to other clients being turned away in anticipation of a given date being booked, the total retainer fee is non-refundable but transferrable (within six months) for any service. There are no refunds for bridal trials. The final balance is due one week before the wedding/event date. Due to my demanding schedule, a $150 rebooking fee will be charged to change your wedding date after the contract is signed. All cancellations must be submitted in writing. If you cancel the makeup services for any reason after the signed contract, you will forfeit all monies paid. If you cancel within 30 days of the event/wedding date, you will still be obligated to pay 100% of the remaining balance within one week before your booking. If your additional guests are subtracted within the final 30 days before your event, you will be charged the quoted rate. NO EXCEPTIONS! 


NOTE:  If you cancel your booked appointment two (2) times in a row your retainer fee will no longer be transferable.

What are your travel fees for destination weddings?

A travel fee will be charged to and from the booking for distances greater than 30 miles from my home in Perrysburg, OH. For locations outside of Toledo, OH please request a quote for proper pricing.  Travel fee is based on the travel time and location. All costs for traveling that requires airfare, train, hotel accommodations, airport transfers and taxes to the service location are to be paid by the client. In circumstances when parking, valet, meter or toll fees apply; the client will be required to cover the charges. For destination weddings (including outside of the U.S.) an advanced booking of  2-3 months minimum is required. We cannot accommodate last minute destination bookings due to proper immunizations and travel Visas. Please request a quote for more information and exact pricing.

What type of makeup brands do you like to use?

Beauty by Cori Rist carries items for all skin types and skin tones. Some of the brands used are; Beautycounter, Chanel, Lancome, Urban Decay, Makeup Forever, MAC, NARS, and more. We also offer airbrush or traditional makeup. All the products used are tried and tested through years of experience on brides and fashion sets. 

Do you have liability insurance & what's the coverage?

Yes, Beauty By Cori Rist has liability insurance that covers up to $1 million. I just hope I never have to use it!
